Dave has worked with my son Jon for the past 4-5 years as a personal soccer trainer. His dedication to the sport is evident in the way he trains and treats his athletes both on and off the pitch. Dave’s deep understanding of the game gives him the unique ability to dissect a player’s individual skillset in such a way as to be able to bolster his/her strengths while working on weaknesses. He is creative in his warm-ups and workouts always making the educational training sessions fun, exciting and competitive so the players never lose interest. He even attended one of my son’s high school games to see how he was utilizing the skills learned while on the pitch with the rest of his team. Dave always exudes a positive attitude and excitement about the game of soccer whether discussing a world cup match, a recent high school game my son was involved in or a match between 10 year olds he visited/coached earlier in the day. This fall, Jon will be playing college soccer and Dave’s expert guidance, excitement and energy along with a lot of hard work made that possible. I highly recommend Dave as a soccer coach and mentor for any aspiring young soccer player.

Both our children have worked with Dave since moving from rec to travel soccer over 4 years ago. What is remarkable about Dave is not just his ability to teach the technical aspects, to help in decision-making and strategy, and to provide rigorous training - he does all this flawlessly. His commitment to our kids has been most remarkable - coming to games to see them in game situations, providing encouragement, and making soccer fun as they develop as players. Our kids love their time with Coach Dave - we cannot recommend him more highly.

I wanted to let you know that I think you are doing a really great job with the girls. Specifically, you appear to balance out the desire to make it fun while still demanding a workman-like, accountable approach to the games and practices. Having been in your shoes before, I know that is one of the biggest challenges you face with a team of 11-year-olds. Regardless of the outcome in any future games, they have come a LONG way since last Fall, and much of that growth has come as a direct result of your hard work, passion, intensity, and knowledge of the game. ...we will not hesitate for a second to have you as her coach.
